Snowboarding is a highly varied sport: freestyle, all-mountain, freeride, shred, street or carving. Whatever your preferred style, Ekosport has all the snowboarding equipment you need: snowboards, snowboard bindings, snowboard + bindings packs, boots, helmets, goggles and snowboard clothing. We also have splitboard and touring equipment. This snowboard equipment has been selected from top brands such as K2, Burton and Salomon.

Snowboard equipment

You can buy all the equipment you need for snowboarding. The first questions to ask yourself before buying your snowboarding equipment, whether it's a board, bindings or even boots, concern your level and the type of riding you do. For all-mountain snowboarding, the boards are slightly longer and wider at the front. A freestyle snowboard is symmetrical, while a freeride board is often wider and shorter than the all-purpose models. As your level of riding increases, you'll be able to choose a stiffer, more dynamic snowboard. There are different types of snow bindings: strap-in bindings, rear-entry bindings and Burton step-on bindings. Take the time to analyse the compatibility with your board, particularly in terms of the binding system (2x4 inserts, 4x4 inserts or Burton inserts). To make sure you don't make any mistakes when making your purchases and to be certain of compatibility, you can opt to buy a snow + bindings pack. Last piece of equipment: snowboard boots. Once again, it's important to take into account your level of practice, which will determine the flex of the snowboard boot. There are many differences between models: type of tightening (boa, laces, Velcro), rigidity, quality of the boot, etc.

Snowboard accessories

Snowboarding is a sport that requires a few items of safety and comfort equipment. First of all, you'll need the right snowboarding gear: trousers, jacket, socks, thermal underwear, gloves and a neck warmer. To protect your head, choose a snowboard helmet suited to your needs: there are many differences and technologies out there. Snowboarders who take risks in the snowpark or in powder snow will benefit from choosing a MIPS ski helmet. The MIPS technology protects everyone, you are never too safe ! It's also essential to protect your eyes and have a clear vision of the terrain and the other riders around, with snow goggles suited to the light conditions. We have helmets with integrated visors and snow goggles with photochromic or interchangeable lenses which offer maximum versatility. Depending on your riding style, you may need to equip yourself with body protection. These include back protectors for snowpark riding, wrist guards for beginners (wrist sprains are very common) and padded protective shorts. Finally, for both freeride snowboarding and splitboarding, remember to pack avalanche safety equipment (avalanche transceiver, probe and shovel) in your rucksack.

Focus on the splitboard

Splitboarding, backcountry snowboarding or touring snowboarding is a relatively recent development. A splitboard is a piece of equipment that splits into several parts (2, 3 or 4) to transform into touring skis for ascents. You'll find on our website a wide range of models from leading brands such as K2, Burton, Nidecker, Salomon and Rossignol. The boards differ considerably in terms of flex and forgiveness. Splitboard bindings are available in split + bindings packs, or on their own. You can choose bindings with the Voile system (they slide over the board) or Karakoram splitboard bindings (they wedge). You'll also find a range of splitboard accessories in the shop, including sealskins, crampons, knives and pucks.
