The Beal AIR FORCE 3 belongs to the belay devices range and can be used with all ropes. This safety accessory allows the leader installed at the belay to belay and block independently one or two seconds.

Its special design with 4 grooves is able to accept single ropes, but also 2 double or twin ropes. The two V-grooves allow the belayer to give slack easily while providing effective braking control. Energy absorption is better optimized when stopping the leader's fall. The 2 wide and smooth grooves prevent parasitic friction on the corners and premature wear of the rope. The small hole facilitates the locking of the ropes even under tension.
