Description
ORTLES 90

The ORTLES 90 from Ski Trab is a new high performance touring ski for the best skiers.

Designed for big mountain expeditions, this model has a high-end construction that allows for a light, responsive and powerful model. This ski is designed with a 14-layer core and progressive flex, making it maneuverable and agile on all types of snow. It adds Hi-Connect and No Shock technologies for vibration control to ensure safe and precise turns.

In addition, this model features a thin (3k) micro-mesh carbon cage that wraps around the ski and provides significantly more torsional stiffness (up to 46%) than a conventional ski.

With its responsive design, this ski will take hikers further and further.

Details
ORTLES 90

  • Radius Control: The radius, along with the flex, helps lead the skier through a turn. An innovative correlation between flex and radius makes it easier to enter the turn and improves the control and exit of the turn.
  • Control Progressive Flex: Ski Trab's multi-layer construction and technology allows for a very smooth flex at the ends of the ski, making it easy to use and maneuver, adapting effortlessly to all types of snow. In the center, the ski is firmer, offering good torsional rigidity and excellent edge control, ensuring good grip on hard snow and ice. Towards the back of the ski, the flex is more pronounced, so that during the loading phase, the ski radius works harder to improve steering and control. The support has been moved forward to improve the attitude of the ski
  • No Shock, Active Vibration Control: a strip of a special liner is placed lengthwise between the edges and the internal structure of the ski. In the tip and tail area, the lastomer covers the entire surface of the ski. The addition of the lastomre creates a damping effect that makes the ski more stable and linear in response to external factors.
  • Hi-Connect: in order to maintain the ski's flatness over time, we have designed a bridge that connects the two edges internally, so that it is almost impossible to misalign. This special construction means that the edges stay where they should be, even after multiple impacts with hard surfaces like rocks.
  • Attivo Shock Absorber: the polymer structural components are integrated lengthwise on the upper sides of the skis. Their function is to absorb vibrations, giving the skis greater stability. They also play an important role in protecting the structure of the skis by preventing blows or cuts that could easily damage the edges and open the internal structure.
  • Liwood Air Flex: a revolutionary profile that improves turnability and grip when the skis are flat. This unique profile is only possible thanks to the multi-layer construction that guarantees strength even when the ski core tapers towards the ends. The softer tips make it easier to float and camber, the excellent torsional stiffness and the perfect control of the skis
  • Hibox Torsion Control: thin micro-mesh carbon cage (3k) that wraps around the ski for a much higher torsional stiffness (up to 46%). This type of treatment is designed to benefit only the anti-torque structure without compromising the flex values of the skis
