Part of the family of locking carabiners, the ATTACHE BAR from Petzl is a unidirectional, pear-shaped, screw-locking carabiner of great efficiency and precision.
Supplied with a removable BAR bar, this ATTACHE carabiner has the advantage of staying in place and not turning. It thus becomes a unidirectional carabiner, favoring long-axis use of the carabiner, for maximum comfort when belaying or roping on glacier. What's more, it has an H-shaped profile for lightness, and a round section in the friction zone between rope and carabiner to facilitate VERSO / REVERSO or half-cabestan belaying.
It's also easy to handle even when wearing mountaineering gloves, while its beak and Keylock system are designed to prevent the carabiner from snagging during maneuvers.

- For use with the removable BAR bar, which allows the carabiner to be loaded in the long axis for greater comfort when belaying or roping up on glaciers,
- the BAR bar cannot be closed unless the ring is fully locked, which reduces the risk of operating errors, and
- the carabiner ring cannot be accidentally unlocked when the BAR bar is in the closed position,
