Dedicated to trail and racing, the RASCAL SELECT BOA from Ion is a clipped MTB shoe that offers more than justuncompromising power transmission on the pedal.

The construction of this shoe combines rigidity in the longitudinal axis with flexibility in the lateral axis and the upper to allow riders to ride with precision since this torsional construction principle prevents the foot from tilting on the pedal. This shoe adds special tread zones to provide traction on and off the pedal during the pushing phases of the bike. It enhances its effectiveness with a cushioning EVA midsole that absorbs impact, while the rubberized heel and reinforced toe cap absorb and dissipate forces when the foot hits a rock or roots. Plus, the asymmetrically shaped shank with Ankle_Pad protects the foot on the side of the crank.

This model features the BOA Fit system on the upper instep for a quick, effortless and precise fit. There is also a velvety soft inner lining that reveals its rough side when the heel slips during pedaling. Finally, the crampon is placed further back than in mountain boots to accommodate DH needs.
