Published in 2017,"Mon rve d'or et de neige format illustr" is the first book written by Martin Fourcade, five-time Olympic biathlon champion and seven-time winner of the World Cup general ranking. This special edition of the Olympic Games is the illustrated version of the book published a year earlier.
At the dawn of his last winter of competition and before taking part in his last Olympic Games, the Cyrenian champion is at the peak of his sporting career. After winning his sixth big crystal globe consecutively, Martin Fourcade looks back on his career as a high-level athlete, which began in March 2008 (when he took part in his first World Cup). The French biathlete recounts his sporting career (at the end of the 2016/2017 season), from his youth in the Pyrenees, where everything began in the footsteps of his brother Simon.
We discover the incredible strength of character of the champion, the passion he has for his sport and all the sacrifices he had to make to become the best biathlete in the world. A sincere and authentic testimony that allows us to get to know the high-level biathlete but also the man, his strengths, his weaknesses, in the victories but also in the more difficult moments.
