The WALLNUT SET 1-11 from DMM is an assortment of climbing belay devices that covers the majority of widths and thus serves climbers well.
Lightweight, versatile and easy to set, the belayers in this pack are each made from a different alloy: the smaller sizes are made from a harder alloy to prevent shearing, while the larger sizes are softer to bite into the pitches. The nubs that make them up are larger and have a hollow construction to reduce weight. In addition, they can be placed in two different orientations, allowing a single nut to cover a wider range of cracks. They are also tapered, while the grooved faces reduce weight, help the nut fit better in cracks, improve safety in shallow locations and provide better resistance.
Mounted on rigid wires to allow for overhead placements, they are flexible enough to reduce the risk of lifting. Finally, each wedge is color coded to match the rest of the protection line for quick and easy selection of the right size.
