Yes was founded in 2009 from headquarters in Switzerland. The company's founders — Tadashi Fuse, Romain De Marchi, David Carrier-Porcheron and JP Solberg began the company after leaving Burton Snowboards, a world renowned American sporting goods brand. They began construction of their snowboard models quickly in Austria before moving production to Dubai in 2014. From the very beginning, Yes was founded, designed and produced by snowboarding devotees, receiving consistent development input from professional freestyle snowboarders. Since their earliest models, Yes have won several awards for their designs, including the 2016 Whitelines Snowboard Shape of the Year for the 20/20, the 2016 Ispo Gold Medal for the 20/20 PowderHull model, and several Good Wood awards from Transworld Snowboarding for their design, including most recently in 2018.
Yes's most prestigious model is the award-winning 20/20, a board designed to float and spin with ease due to its symmetrical true twin design and concave base sections. This board is completely unique to snowboarding and takes its inspiration from successful wakeboards. Having offered this revolutionary design, Yes' other outstanding boards include the bestselling Libre model, an affordable board which uses a similar twin design to the 20/20, but adapts it to produce a versatile board designed for long sessions, speed runs, laps and mid-mountain powder stashes. Like the similarly successful Standard model, the Libre offers stability and float at a more modest price tag.
