Look Brand Origins

The brand Look was created in 1951 in Nevers, France. It went on to revolutionise the practice of alpine skiing in 1956 by creating the first automatic fasteners that would detach in the event of a fall. Carrying this innovation forward, Look moved on to the world of cycling and created the automatic pedal. This was adopted by Bernard Hinault for the Tour de France in 1985. Then, in the following year, Look became the first manufacturer to design and build carbon bicycle frames. As well as equipment, the brand launched a range of sportswear for sports enthusiasts.
