Dynastar Brand Origin

Dynastar came into being when the Dynamic and Starflex brand joined under an alliance. The intent was to combine their expertise in making high-performance skis. In 1966, Dynastar was the brand that boasted the most world ski championship wins. Following its success, the brand was bought in 1967 by the Rossignol group who were impressed by its dedication to the core values of quality, ethics and innovation.

The Vitality of Haute-Savoie

Dynastar came into being in 1963 at the highest cradle in Europe, Chamonix Mont-Blanc. This has always been a prime location for fierce competitions and the popularity has never stopped growing. The brand was inspired by this place and sought to incorporate its very values into their way of thinking and their state of mind so that they might become world leaders in innovation. This put them in direct contact with the many athletes who spent their lives on the mountain slopes. The passions of these professionals were taken and used to help stoke the same passions within Dynastar itself.

The Workshop at the Company's Heart

Dynastar have kept and maintained a workshop in the very heart of the head office in Sallanches. This enables them to work on the design and production of skis for use at the highest levels by the best athletes. The skis are still made entirely by hand with no automation. This means that every single pair has an unrivalled level of care and attention poured into it.
